Song recital — “Oiseaux de passage”

“Oiseaux de passage” — birds of passage: the title says the programme. Chausson, Ravel, Beydts, Poulenc, Menotti, Barber, Previn — songs of leaving, of returning, of watching what never settles go by. Natalie Dessay sings, Philippe Cassard accompanies her at the piano.

The concert is given at the Église Notre-Dame-de-l'Assomption in Auvers-sur-Oise — the church Van Gogh painted — and not at the museum. It is produced by Les Arts de l'Écoute as part of the Francis Poulenc & Friends festival; LabMusée is its partner. Tickets are therefore sold by the festival.
